Dr. Warnock received his ND from Bastyr College of Natural Medicine in 1984 and his BS in Botany from the University of Washington. When he set up his practice in 1985, Dr. Warnock was the first ND to practice in Vermont in recent times. When the Vermont legislature passed a bill to license Naturopathic Physicians in 1996, he received the first license issued by the Secretary of State. He served as the president of the Vermont Associating of Naturopathic Physicians for many years and is now an advisor to the Department of Professional Regulation for the regulation of the Naturopathic Profession. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Vermont Blueprint for Health.

The Champlain Center for Natural Medicine was founded by Dr Warnock in 1989. Located in Shelburne, Vermont, we are the oldest Naturopathic clinic in Vermont.

The healthier a person’s physical body, the better it is able to deal with the stresses of one’s life. These include environmental, emotional, genetic and sometimes conventional medical treatment. We try to compliment conventional medical treatment. Sometimes person’s health may improve to the point where they and their doctor may agree that the medication or other treatment they are receiving is no longer necessary. We view each person as an integrated whole of mind, body and spirit, looking beyond symptoms to identify and address the underlying cause of illness. While adhering to guidelines for disease management, naturopathic treatment is oriented to each person?s needs. Naturopathic physicians, utilizing the most natural and least invasive therapies, stimulate the body?s natural healing force to restore and maintain health.

In Vermont, licensed naturopathic physicians provide comprehensive family healthcare. ND’s evaluate and diagnose disease using standard physical examinations, routine laboratory testing, and conventional diagnostic imaging. Therapies include diet, nutrition, and lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and acupuncture. We provide routine family care such as well-child exams, annual physicals, and gynecological exams. We specialize in promoting health and wellness, and in preventing disease. We also provide natural treatments for minor acute illnesses and injuries, and chronic disease, along with effective compliments and at times alternatives to prescription medications.
